This years New Years Camp was different as we didn’t go out for the day as we have done in previous years. The camp was held at 1st Kidderminster along with 1st Lye who hosted last years camp.

The plans were to do to Manchester but the cost ruled this out. It was therefore decided to have a Computer gaming weekend instead. We have a computer sleep-over in July just for 1st Kidderminster and this camp would be on a bigger scale. The Boys were very enthusiastic and soon we had 25 boys ready to attend.

We met on the Friday night and set up the consoles and computers. There was about 12 laptops and computers system linked to play Halo which was very popular. There was two playstation 3’s,  one playstation 2, three Xbox 360’s  and a nintendo Wii. Three projectors were used for two xboxs and for the Wii. Some of the Juniors brought their nintendo DS’s.

On the Saturday afternoon the 13 of the younger boys went to Laser Quest in Stourbridge for a couple of games. Then in the evening 12 of the older boys had their turn at Laser Quest.

There were a number of games played on the consoles ranging from Guitar hero, COD Modern Warfare 2, football games and many others. We reckon we had about eighteen thousand pounds worth of equipment and software.

Sunday soon came round and it was time to pack up in time for the Brigade Service led by the BB staff.

Photos will follow soon..
