New years camp took place at Milton Hall Baptist Church on the 1st to 3rd February. The camp was held jointly with 1st Lye BB Company.
After arrival on the Friday we all settled down and watched films and played on the Wii games. bed came sometime later and sleep sometime after bed.
The morning saw us going to Coventry on the train. We visited the Catheredral bulit after the war, loooking at the modern style of the building before looking around the ruin of the cathedral that burnt down during the blitz during the 2nd World War.
We then looked around the Coventry motor museum. There was plenty to see and do, with a simulator off the fastest car in the world going over 700 mph. Of course it was the latest cars that interested the lads, such as the Aston Martin, 007 move aside.
We later headed back home on the train and we had the pleasure of First Class with thanks to Virgin Trains back to Birmingham to catch our connections to Kidderminster.
The Saturday evening was spent playing games then we had a meal with guests from both Lye and Milton Hall churches. The rest of the night was spent with films and games.
Sunday morning soon came around and the smell of bacon made it easier to get out of bed. Once we were in uniform we had a parade that was a tad cold.
The lunch after the service was soon eaten and it wasnt long before parents were arriving to collect their sons.
